چکیده

Software Defined Radio takes what used to be physically ingrained within the radio and provides a variety of hardware and software alternatives that add to it more flexibility and functionality. This project looks to implement a 16QAM communication system using a baseband receiver and transmitter and two USPR2 boards. It will show the benefits of Software Defined Radio (SDR) and will demonstrate the power, flexibility, and advantages that it gives the designer through the ease of modification that it provides. This project does, however, require a great amount of new, unfamiliar software which may prove to be one of its biggest challenges.

LabVIEW-Based Software-Defined Radio: 4-QAM Modem

A software-defined radio consists of a programmable communication system where functional changes can be made by merely updating software. In this paper, a software-defined radio 4-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modem system is implemented in LabVIEW. LabVIEW is a widely used graphical programming environment which allows designing systems in an intuitive block-based manner in shorter ti...

Analytical Investigations on Cross-Coupled Passband Adaptive Equalizer for a 16-QAM Software Defined Radio Receiver

Quadrature Amplitude Modulation is widely used modulation format in software defined radios. The major problem in QAM scheme is the recovery of a quality signal at the receiving end. The purpose of the adaptive equalizer is to remove the intersymbol interference caused by the amplitude and phase distortions of the channel. In this paper CrossCoupled Passband Adaptive Equalizer has been used for...
